Pictures from Chalkidiki
Chalkidiki is a peninsula and region in Central Macedonia, known for the three islands resembling a hand with three fingers. For our first travel to Greece ever, we decided to visit Kassandra, one of the Finger’s and most popular islands, from where we had fantastic views of the Aegean Sea and the other “fingers” Sithonia, and Mount Athos.
We visited Chalkidiki in the Summer of 2012 and very likely set the stone for an ongoing love for Greece that I have felt ever since. Greek food, wine, amazing sunset, and the Mediterranean climate make it an ideal destination for summer holidays. Here are a few pictures from Chalkidiki – mind you, my camera equipment was obviously also from “back in the days”.
